Siguenza
and Other Spots Along the Way
On our way home from Albarracin, we stopped a few places along the way. The landscape was so pretty, and there were several cute towns we stopped in. |
There were hundreds of birds flocking around a water spot off the road. |
The mountains were so colorful. |
The local old geezer hangout. |
This darling lady was so excited to see us in her village. She told us her whole life story, and that of the village as well. Her little village only had 17 full-time residents now, and only 4 phones in town. She is the head of the Red Cross committee and checks on all 17 residents each day. |
We were driving along, and suddenly this castle jumped out in front of us. |
Laundry day. |
Driving along, and suddenly this placed jumped out. |
Another castle suddenly appeared. |
The castle turned out to be a Parador. Paradors are historical sights that the government has turned into a hotel. We decided to stop in for lunch. |
We were the only ones in the dining room. All the Parador's have outstanding restaurants. |
The town also has a beautiful Cathedral. |
It turned out to be a very interesting old. cobblestone, historic town. I really loved it, and we walked and walked down so many streets. |
Short doors
You could buy this place. |
This is one of those places where the roof has fallen in. Now they're just waiting for the walls to crumble. |
As I've said a hundred times, Spain is beautiful!
