Marbella and Windmills
This post will catch me up on our travels and news over the last couple of months.

This is a view of Marbella from a hill in Mijas. |
Looking over Mijas, with Marbella in the background. |
Marbella is a beautiful seaside town about five hours south of Madrid. |
The old town of Marbella is pedestrian. |
The streets are narrow, and shady. |
Most of the shops are very pretty, but very upscale and pricey. |
It's a classy town with classy buskers. |
So many inviting sidewalk cafes. |
A little church that is storing some of the floats that will be used during Holy Week. |
Here's my store! |
These were some really good, and very unique buskers. Their music was beautiful. |
The used this instrument a couple of different ways. |
Inside another church getting ready for Holy Week. |
One of their floats. |
Children of the Parish getting ready for a little processional of their own. |
Preparing another float. |
Castle wall. |
My favorite sculpture in the town. |
A horse bidet. |
We were driving along the highway, and saw some windmills on a hill. We decided to pull off and see if we could find a way to get to them. We drove through this cute little town. |
This little church was on Main Street and decided to take a look. |
Guess what they were working on? Yes, Holy Week. |
Big fans of Don Quijote. |
There they are. |
We found the road. |
We got back on the highway, drove a few miles, then saw more windmills. These we weren't able to find the road to, but I got them with my telephoto. |
We had such a nice time on this trip. The weather was perfect.
The sights were fantastic, and the spontaneous aspect was exciting.
