TENERIFE
part 2
Doll Museum, and Botanical Gardens
One day we took a trip over to the other side of the island to see a doll museum we had seen advertised. It was pretty interesting, with original dolls from about 80 different doll makers around the world, and in many different mediums. There were porcelain, wax, wood, cloth, paper mache, and more.

I took pictures of some of my favorites. |

These are paper mache. Even their clothing and hair is made out of paper. They are really amazing. |

The property that the museum was at, was spectacular as well. They had several darling little cottages that housed different aspects of the museum. They also had very pretty gardens, and we enjoyed walking around the grounds. |
We then headed to lunch and the Botanical Gardens.
|
It is winter here as well, and I imagine it is even more lush during the other seasons. I would love to have this arbor at home. |
|
This is the fellow who organized and planned the garden. |

This is a dragon tree that still has that silver lizard skin. |

There were a lot of these guys flying around Tenerife. Looks like fun to me. |
Well, that was our day out, and even though it was a bit chilly, we had a really nice time.
